W artykule „Jak używać piosenek do nauczania gramatyki” sypnąłem pomysłami na temat tego, jak można wykorzystywać piosenki w nauczaniu gramatyki. To trochę tak jakby opisać, jakie cuda można wyczyniać z tym nowym wynalazkiem, ale nie przedstawić ani jednego egzemplarza publiczności. Postanowiłem więc skompilować konkretną listę piosenek, których można użyć, aby zilustrować najpopularniejsze zagadnienia gramatyczne.
Jak dobrane zostały piosenki? Kluczowa konstrukcja gramatyczna musi się pojawić w tekście piosenki kilka razy – im więcej razy, tym lepiej. Idealną sytuacją jest, gdy w tekście pojawiają się różne formy, na przykład zdania twierdzące, przeczenia i pytania albo formy pełne (I have finished) i formy ściągnięte (I’ve finished), jednak w przypadku rzadziej używanych struktur (np. czasu Past Perfect Continuous) było trudno znaleźć teksty, które są idealne pod tym względem. Starałem się jak mogłem, ale lista nie jest kompletna i będzie jeszcze rozszerzana.
Wybierając piosenkę, dobrze jest spojrzeć na komentarze do piosenki. Oznaczyłem na przykład piosenki, które są nadzwyczaj trudne do zinterpretowania przez swój abstrakcyjny tekst. Przed użyciem piosenki w czasie lekcji wypada też jej posłuchać i przeczytać tekst, coby nie uraczyć młodych uczniów przekleństwami, bo i takie piosenki znalazły się na liście.
Wszystkie piosenki na liście można z łatwością znaleźć na YouTube lub Spotify. YouTube często oferuje też możliwość odsłuchania piosenki z tekstem na ekranie zamiast teledysku, takie swoiste karaoke, w którym śpiewamy razem z oryginalnym wykonawcą i dzięki temu wydaje nam się, że śpiewamy naprawdę dobrze. Aby znaleźć taką wersję piosenki, wystarczy dodać słowo “lyrics” do tytułu i/lub wykonawcy w wyszukiwarce.
Jeśli piosenka jest stara i istnieją obawy, że nie spodoba się uczniom, zawsze można poszukać bardziej współczesnego lub bardziej odpowiadającego uczniom stylistycznie coveru. W trakcie tworzenia listy odkryłem, że wiele piosenek, które uważałem za wersje oryginalne, są tak naprawdę coverami, czasami trzecimi lub czwartymi, np. piosenka “If It Hadn’t Been For Love” Adele.
Jeśli zdarzyłoby się, że takiej wersji piosenki nie ma jeszcze w Internecie, zawsze można posiłkować się stronami z tekstami piosenek. Te najobszerniejsze to:
